Nie wiem kogo za to zamieszanie winić, nie wiem kto był pomysłodawcą całej imprezy ale wzorem ubiegłego roku grupa winnych blogerów skupionych wokół inicjatywy Winnych Wtorków postanowiła zorganizować sobie mikołajki. Mnie wylosowali gospodarze bloga Winniczek.eu i podesłali pięknie zapakowana smukłą alzacka butelkę a w niej Kumpf at Meyer Riesling Westerberg 2011.

To bardzo specjalne wino, wyprodukowane przez posiadłość o tradycjach sięgających XVII wieku. Jednak nie na tradycji rosną krzewy. Zgodnie z alzackimi zwyczajami, jeżeli nazwa wina prócz nazwy posiadłości zawiera w sobie również nazwę działki, w tym wypadku Westerberg możemy być pewni najwyższej jakości. Niestety nie wiem o tej działce mniej niż bym chciał. Oto czego udało mi się dowiedzieć. Jest położona niedaleko miasteczka Rosheim, stromo opada, ma południową ekspozycję i gliniasto-wapienne gleby.

W tej konfiguracji królewski szczep Alzacji powinien dać z siebie najlepsze. Przyjrzyjmy się mu bliżej. W barwie intensywnie słomkowe. W nosie efektowne ale nie efekciarskie, początkowo cytrusowe, po chwili pojawiają się jabłka. W ustach zdecydowane, o sporej dozie cytrusowej kwasowości, pełnym owocu (kiwi, owoce tropikalne) lekkiej mineralności i intrygującym posmaku pełnym tonów tak lubianej przeze mnie gorzkiej zielonej herbaty. Wino pije się bardzo lekko. Jest bardzo archetypiczne dla porządnych alzackich rieslingów, daje to wszystko co obiecuje etykieta. W lecie dzięki dużej sprężystości i świeżości świetnie sprawdzi się jako wino apertifowo-tarasow. W zimie lepiej będzie smakowało po sparowaniu z jakimś jedzeniem. Idąc śladem ofiarodawcy dołączę więc do notki przepis (jak to ma w zwyczaju Winniczek).

Winem zapijałem sałatkę będącą wariacją na tematy nicejskie. Mieszankę sałat zmieszałem z ugotowaną na półtwardo mrożoną fasolką szparagową, do tego dodałem pocięte w ćwiartki jajka, puszkę tuńczyka, zielona cebule, czarne oliwki i kilka filecików anchois i udekorowałem aromatyzowanymi czosnkiem grzankami. Sos sporządziłem mieszając trzy łyżki miodu, oraz po tyle samo oliwy z oliwek, wody i jasnego octu balsamicznego. Potem dodałem jeszcze małą łyżeczkę zalewy w której były fileciki. Nie soliłem. Popijana winem Kumpf at Meyer Riesling Westerberg smakowała wybitnie. Zdecydowana kwasowość wina ładnie komponowała się z octem dressing i uwypuklała smaki składników jednocześnie delikatnie tonizując słoność anchois. Niebo w gębie.

Wino jak najbardziej polecam, nie znam jego ceny ale jest warte dużo. Takich smakołyków w dyskoncie nie znajdziesz.
